Teaching sustainability concepts to your students can be fun! By immersing your students in these lapbook activities, they will thoroughly explore the topic and consolidate their learning in order to cover key content descriptors in the Year 4 Australian Geography curriculum.
This lapbook can be purchased as part of our Australian Year 4 Geography Unit – Sustainability. It is best used alongside the Sustainability Powerpoint.
Please note: This resource once included a unit plan. It no longer includes this unit plan as it has been upgraded and is now only included in our Sustainability Unit.
Use this lapbook to explore the following concepts with your students:
✏ current waste disposal methods around the world.
✏ compare modern-day land management techniques with that of Australia’s Indigenous Peoples.
✏ the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) are discussed extensively to give students a greater understanding of the purpose of such techniques as well as ways they can contribute to waste reduction and management.

Do I need to purchase the supporting powerpoint?
No you don’t. Although you will miss out on the carefully researched content that is provided in the powerpoint, simply just ignore references to the powerpoint in the unit plan.
Can I share this resources with my teaching partner?
No. This product is for personal use only. Multiple licences are available for use among more than one person.
